Outrigger Konotta Maldives Introduces New Asian Dining Experiences
Outrigger Konotta Maldives is in the works of conquering the Asian culinary scene, and have introduced new Asian dining initiatives. With authentic tastes, eruption of flavors and careful curation, the new dining options include; Asian Street Food Market, the Konotta Hot Pot Experience, and the Indian Ocean Thali Taster Meal.
The Asian Street Food Market is an understated and casual outdoor setup, with a stunning arrangement of sterling Chinese lanterns and live musical entertainment. The Asian Street Food Market provides the finest of Asian savory street food, including Japanese specials such as Sushi, Nigiri Sushi, Makimono and Maguro Tataki.
They also serve classic Thai dishes such as Stir Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Indonesia's sensational Batagor, Malaysia's famous Nasi Goreng Kambing and Vietnamese Spring Rolls. The Asian Street Food Market is scheduled to happen beginning from August until the end high season, and promises the perfect infusion of traditional Asian foods.
The second food and beverage option, Konotta Hot Pot Experience is the product of a thousand years of culinary history, and is believed to have originated from Mongolia. 'Hot Pot' also known as Huoguo, Shabu-Shabu or Steamboat is essentially a broth in a simmering metal pot of Eastern Asian ingredients, which is then used to cook meat.
Outrigger Konotta's Executive Chef, Chris Long said, "At Konotta, we have taken the best of hot pot culture and designed a hot pot that, we think, suits the palettes of all our guests." The Indian Ocean Thali Taster Meal will be prepared for guests with a 24 hour notice for it's special preparation, and is served at the resort's Rotunda.

The third culinary creation by Outrigger Konotta, the Indian Ocean Thali Taster Meal focuses on creating an all-in-one dish with the best of all worlds. The Indian Ocean Thali Taster Meal's concept is a fusion of six different flavors – sweet, salty, bitter, sour, astringent and spicy – coming together in a single tray. The combination of rich textures, flavors and colors make for a fulfilling and enjoyable meal. This new F&B option by the Konotta will be available every evening at the resort's Blue Salt restaurant.
Along with these three new dining options, Outrigger has also introduced a new lunch and dinner menu. The current menu focuses on providing healthy meals with organic ingredients, and a Teppanyaki Dinner Experience specially prepared by Teppanyaki Chef Endar. The resort also hosts romantic beach dining, sank bank lunching, wedding and vow renewal celebrations. Chef Endar recommends the weekly Maldivian Lobster and Angus Beef Sunset Beach BBQ, for an intimate couple dining setup.
