Jumeirah Vittaveli Showcases Royal Residence Art Collection by Maha Al Mazrouei
Jumeirah Vittaveli Maldives commissioned talented Emirati artist, Maha Al Mazrouei, to design four bespoke art pieces for their freshly launched Royal Residence.
The Royal Residence at Jumeirah Vittaveli is a five-bedroom retreat, with one Sanctuary, two Guest Villas, and a two-story Guest House. The 3,500 square meter residence also features a private spa pavilion, a gym, two pools, and Teppanyaki restaurant fitted with a fully stocked wine cellar. The beachfront estate Royal Residence is essentially it's own private resort, designed for families and groups of friends looking to vacation in luxury and style.
The grand entrance of the Royal Residence now features a twin painting by Maha, which sets a continuous tone throughout the entire island retreat. Over at the private spa pavilion; a bold and daring art piece, which reflects the natural beauty and vibrance of the island. The fourth and final piece is Maha's artistic portrayal of Maldives' natural beauty and marine life; displayed beautifully in the living area of the Sanctuary.
Maha specializes in cubism and abstract styles, and her paintings were illustrated with oil-based blues and whites, to compliment the interior and furnishing of the Royal Residence. Her artistic technique infuses style and culture, which will be showcased at her art exhibition scheduled to be held at Jumeirah Vittaveli later this year.
Maha al Mazrouei said, "I always feel a sense of calm when visiting the Maldivian islands – it's heaven of Earth. I am so fascinated by god's creation and all the components that you see when exploring the island. I wanted to create an art collection exclusive to Jumeirah Vittaveli to reflect this unique experience."
The established artist has been actively working in the art community since 1993, when she co-founded the Tebra Art Group along with other female Emirate creators. She participated in many exhibitions and installations with the Tebra Art Group, including a mural for Dubai Shopping Festival in 1996. In the same year, one of her abstract art pieces were also chosen as a stamp by UAE postal authorities. Maha's most recent work has been creating collections of solo art pieces, including a selection of murals displayed at Jumeirah's Burj Al Arab property, and inside VIP Majlis at Dubai International Airport.
The luxury resort Jumeirah Vittaveli is a 20-minute speed boat ride away from Velana International Airport. Featuring 89 guest villas and suites, Royal Residence is the latest of Vittaveli's extravagant concepts. The resort villas are private and spacious, with one or two bedrooms, ideal for both couples and families. Leisure and wellness facilities at the island include; a 5-star PADI dive center, award-winning Talise Spa, Talise Fitness and Kuda Koli Kid's Klub.
