Why you should use Google Trips to plan your next holiday!
The hassle of having to learn the map of a new city you are visiting and having to discover great hotels within a good neighborhood is something we all experience at some point in our lives. But the latest travel app from tech giant, Google, seems to bring a solution to these problems! If you consider yourself to be among modern tourists, then Google Trips is the app you have been searching throughout the entirety of your adult life. For lone travelers, it’s always a challenge to travel to somewhere new and learning to get around by oneself – that is unless you decide to get some help from Google Maps or any other similar app. But, often these are rather hard to use and not precise to minute details; and are subject to costly international data. And if you happen to be out of data, you are pretty much lost.
That’s where Google Trips come in handy; the app will organize your plane tickets and hotel reservations, offer editorial guides to more than 200 cities, and make personalized recommendations based on your Google history. And that’s not the best part even! To make it even easier for you, it works offline: you can download everything to your phone before you leave, including maps and walking directions — sparing you from having to use an expensive international data plan.
Google Trips is single-handedly the most killer app for travelers, as users can get their daily itineraries personalized to precise locations and timings. The app already has automatically assembled the most popular sights, attractions, and local gems into a full day’s tour – from the Top 200 Cities that are included in it, which makes your trip planning all the more easier.
Easy to use, much like every product offered by the company, Trips would need you to sign in with your Google account; and from there on, Google displays you trips that you have completed as well as future ones!
By tapping on one of your future trips, you will be greeted with a beautiful and rather colorful grid of options: from reservations to day plans and getting around, this screen will have a diverse display of options for you to explore. While the “Reservations” tab will handle all of your plane tickets, hotel bookings and even car rentals, the “Need To Know” tab includes useful information such as getting from the airport to the center of the city, the local currency, and what to do in case of an emergency.
But the main reason why you should use Trips is the “Things to Do” tab! It builds custom itineraries based on several factors; the length of stay, popular destinations and your personal preferences (dependent on what you have starred and saved on a Google service previously). Each guide can be customized to include any attractions that you may like to visit – giving you all the power to plan out your day ahead!
You can even add a spot you want to visit to your plans, all the while having the option to tell the app if you have only the morning or afternoon available for the plan. This in turn leads the app to show you other attractions near that original spot, so enabling you to enjoy local attractions without having to travel too far off.
The app that comes free for both iOS and Android devices have now become one of the must have apps for travelers. While it provides all of your travel information in one place, it’s also the partner you must take on your trips – for all the right reasons!
