Usher in the Chinese New Year and the year of the Monkey with joyous celebrations, traditional festive goodies and sumptuous feasts at Hotel Jen Male’ Maldives. CULINARY FEAST AT LIME RESTAURANT (07 - 09 February 2016)
The Chinese New Year celebration is only complete with the traditional delights and auspicious symbolism. The tradition is usually the significant “reunion dinner” on eve of Chinese New Year with family and on the first day of festive, the celebratory new year meals starts and continue on for 15 days!

At Hotel Jen, we will celebrate the “re-union dinner” on 7 February 2016 with equal pomp and the celebratory meals on 8 & 9 February, 2016.Indulge family, friends, business partners and colleagues celebrating and acquainting with one of Asia’s biggest festive celebration.

Chef Morris and his culinary team are proud to present authentic and nostalgic flavors as well as signature creations and healthy options for this festive at Lime Restaurant. The buffet features healthy appetizers from salmon to duck, sinful fried temptations of crispy prawn ball, sesame chicken stick, wantons and more. The buffet also features a variety of main dishes including healthy and fresh “Yong Tau Foo” a variety of stuffed vegetables that is boiled, and eaten with a special sauce, spiced-fried Prawn, Fish in Soy Sauce, Chinese Beef Steak and many more. The buffet also carries a special action station of Chef’s choice daily; it can either be the famous “steamboat-satay” which is a combination of seafood, meat and vegetables in skewers cooked in a broth and dipped in sauce of choice; or a noodle station, etc.

The desserts are by Pastry Chef Damien Lee featuring a combination of Chinese and Western. The Chinese variety includes Nine Treasure Cake, Green Tea with Red Bean, Pineapple Tart and many more.

The buffet will have variety for you to enjoy it every day over the 3-day festive celebration at Lime Restaurant. Buffet Dinner is available from 7-9 February, 2016 from 7.30pm to 10.30 pm. And for lunch treat, Chef Morris is offering set menus on 8 & 9 February 2016 from noon to 3.00pm.

About Chinese Chef Morris Lee
Chef Morris Lee started his professional culinary career 12 years ago in Malaysia working for the Equatorial Malacca then moving to Marriott before joining Hotel Jen Malè, Maldives. His journey has taken him from ranks in the Chinese cuisine over the years. His culinary interest was stirred at the young age of 15 helping his mother at home and over the years he picked up skill and enjoyed cooking Chinese home cooked meals for his family. Once he was in the hotels, he learned new skills and improvised his home cooking methods. Despite the years, his passion is still burning for Chinese Cuisine and his favorite food is still Chinese.
